Jonathan Kesselman is the founder and lead advisor of Kesselman Wealth Management, a financial planning practice based in Westlake, Ohio. He holds the Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® designations and brings a background that most financial advisors don't -- a law degree.
Before entering financial services, Jonathan practiced law and spent nearly a decade at UBS Financial Services building expertise in comprehensive financial planning, investment management, and estate planning strategy. That combination -- legal fluency and financial expertise -- is what he brings to every client relationship today.
Jonathan works primarily with individuals and families approaching or navigating retirement, with particular depth in divorce financial planning, estate planning considerations, Social Security strategy, and retirement income planning. He takes a listening-first approach -- asking more questions than he answers, explaining things in plain English, and building plans that reflect his clients' lives, not just their balance sheets.
He lives in Bay Village, Ohio with his wife Rosie and their six children. He serves on the board of the Cleveland Zoological Society (Cleveland Metroparks Zoo) and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland.
