Hi, I'm Matthew Kelley. I'm a New Yorker by birth, and I spent most of my youth hiking the Adirondack mountains and playing lacrosse. My parents pushed me to work at a young age, and I learned that I didn't like working for others. So, at 14, I started my own landscaping business.
My grandfather introduced me to the financial markets at this time, and I began to buy stocks with my profits. This led me to seek an internship with one of the nation's first financial planning firms through my college years.
After college, I moved to Colorado to compete in snowboarding. I didn't do as well as I envisioned, so I decided that maybe snowboarding was not my competitive calling and began to look for what else interested me.
This led me back to financial planning. In 2004, I asked my wife if I could leave my well-paying job and start my own financial planning company while on our honeymoon. She trusted me those many years ago, and I never looked back.
Today, we've built an enduring and sustainable practice centered around helping our clients use their money to achieve their life's purpose for career, family, individual pursuits, retirement, and legacy. Life's not a rehearsal, and we keep this at the forefront of our advice.
Locally, I serve my community by coaching high school lacrosse and I've been doing this since 1999. I love planting leadership seeds to help our future generations to treat others with love and respect.
When I'm not working or enjoying my beautiful family, you will most likely find me doing one of the following:
